Frieda Bartlett Curling Wand September 05th, 2018 - 20:28:24
The history of the curling wand can be traced back to the year 1866 when an American born British citizen by the name Hiram Maxim first obtained the patent for the device. Also two Frenchmen Maurice Lentheric and Marcel Grateau could be accredited with first using the concept of applying heated tongs for curling hair by early 1900. Hair curled in this manner also came to be known as Marcel curls or waves. The device invented by Grateau was called Marcel tongs. The advantage of the Marcel tongs over its predecessors was that it gave longer lasting and deeper curls.
The tanning salons use the most expensive equipments but have the least number of salon equipments. Tanning salons keep tanning beds in their salons depending upon the size of the salon which can be anywhere from one or two to dozen and more. The tanning beds work as a capsule in which the salon client is lied down on a tempered surface and then a cover is pulled down over them. To keep the neck and head propped a pillow is also provided which allows the face to tan along with the body tan. Other equipments included in the salons require the client to stand in a tan booth which looks like an apparatus.
Even during the curling process heat from the barrel can cause burns to the neck ears and scalp. If such injuries are severe-like blisters and bleeding; then one must seek prompt medical attention. An anti-septic cream should be used instantly on the burns. One must also try to minimize the heat damage to fingers and hands by using heat protecting gloves. Women often carry their curling wands and irons while traveling. They must make sure to use the right outlet for plugging the device especially when taking the device to foreign countries with different power outputs. The wand can be damaged permanently if used with incompatible wattages.
Likewise the device should also not be used outdoors especially where there are aerosols/sprays present. 4) Care should also be taken when using the tool near or on disabled people and kids. 5) If you feel that the cord of the device is damaged you should immediately discontinue use. Additionally you must not try to repair the device yourself; instead have it fixed by experts or buy a new one.The cord of the curling wand should be kept away from heated surfaces. 6) When the device is still plugged-in it should not be laid down unless you are using special ceramic plates to rest it.
